In the construction, the term ‘grout mortar’ has come to refer to the special mortar that fills the gap between structural components such as bridge bearings, concrete and steel columns, machinery and equipment (turbines, generators, engines, pumps, etc.) and the concrete foundation on which these components and equipment are placed. Thanks to their properties – flowing consistency, high compressive and bending strength (early and final), controlled expansion in the early setting phase, volume stability (no shrinkage) or resistance to dynamic loads, they ensure trouble-free and long-lasting use of building structures. Mineral (cementbased) and epoxy-mineral (based on epoxy resins and quartz aggregates) underlays are available.
